Wow.
If they are called "brass" then they might be brass. You can make them out of PVC steel or play dough if you like.
A CNC machine would turn out some pretty sweet ones.
I myself consider them pretty dumb and dont own any.
What would you personally keep as a weapon?
In australia.. thats concealable.
its Knuckle Dusters > Knife
Knife > Knuckle Dusters
Any ideas on how EXACTLY to do it? and to what specifications (and what will i need)

I started on a pair a while back but never finished. My idea was to weld four 3/4" stainless steel nuts together and grind the threads down to fit.
I've get a "trench knife" with a knuckled grip. It's pretty sweet.

Be advised that metal knucks are illegal in most states.
In Alaska, possession is a fourth degree misdemeanor.
Not that that stops me from selling them, heh heh.

We all know you don't sell knucks, you sell "paper weights." :p

And "belt buckles"--some of which have a little nub on them so you really could use the thing as a belt buckle.
I sell about five different kinds, including a kydex version (the infamous CIA ice scraper) which can do more damage but is legal due to not being metal.

Are those illegal due to state or federal law?
I remember checking such out years ago in a book of spy devices, weapons, etc. and they looked awesome.

The CIA things? They are illegal in California, as is any sort fo weapon which will go through a metal detector. I don't know about other states, or federal law.
Thankfully I don't live in California. :p Though an online search doesn't seem to be revealing any made of metal, which is unfortunate. However I've been reading a lot lately about knifemaking, so maybe I'll have to go from there.

You can glue a few cd's together and drill holes for your fingers and then cut to shape. Works just as well if not better because you can cut spikes into the front or some shit like that.

I've got a pair. Never used them on anyone. They slow you down quite a bit. From what I've heard they are effective.
The CIA ice scraper thing, on the other hand, doesn't slow you down hardly at all, and seems to be sturdy for what it is. I've never felt the need to use that one either, as I think it could very easily be lethal. My tests(punching random objects with it) show that it would easily cause bad lacerations and fracture bones with a solid hit.

Cheers, are those legal in ausland?

It's legal if you ship it as a freezer cleaner/ice scraper. Not as a weapon. It doesn't appear to look offensive. But you would probably tell everyone and they would go the way of the green laser light. You can buy switchblades in Australia if you know where to look, as well as double edged blades. I mean, if you can get a rocket launcher and a full auto Uzi in this country, you can definately get anything else.
Arms, would you ship one this way marked as such if I asked nicely and paid you properly for it?

I have a pair. Pretty hardcore, full brass. I would be scared to use them in a fight as to killing someone.

Get a giant stick or a Monadock or ASP collapsable baton.
A decent knife would be second. Maybe a hideaway knife?
Maybe a hideaway knife?
For stabbing people? No. Try a more tried and true design.

Just get a shitty aluminum carabiner for a key chain wrap tape around the fatter end. black on black works well because you can still use it as a key clip. Put the fat end in your hand so the slope of the hump lines up with your thumb. place the skinnier end over your middle finger. I punch normally with it, big time headache for whoever gets hit.

there was a thread about this in DIY a while back.
just some steel, bend them to shape, then weld. really, making knuckledusters arent particularly difficult to figure out.
