Why the hell should shops close ridiculously early on Sundays? This is supposed to be a secular state, what the FUCK? If they're gonna go and be all religious, maybe they should also stop discriminating against the Jews and forbid any shops to open on a Saturday, make everyone stay silent at certain hours for the Muslims, and make everyone wear Mr HAI masks for HAISM.

This is such bullshit.

The worst part of it are Sunday liquor laws. Thankfully the state I currently live in (Ohio) no longer prohibits the sale of alcoholic beverages on Sunday and the state where I'm moving (Kentucky) has made it an issue to be decided by each municipality. A great percentage of the state's liquor stores are located directly across the river because Ohio residents often cross state lines for cheaper booze and tobacco - these municipalities almost entirely voted "yes" on Sunday liquor sales.

It's simply because the government is nothing but a two-faced phony, pandering to the God-fearing tax-payer just as well as the atheist. If a few wealthy taxpayers worshiped fish even on a temporary basis, you could be sure to see fish statues in the park, fish on your paper currency, and a holiday set aside specifically for the Fish People... maybe Fish Day... or something similar. The government would play right along too, solemnly recognizing the rights and faith of the Fish People, awarding paid holidays with clever aquatic names, opening up a sufficient number of subsidized and low-cost fish petting farms, the list goes on and on really... it's all for the cash - nothing more.

Place where I work in Ohio can sell beer at anytime on Sunday but no wine or spirits until 1 PM. 12:30 if I know you, though.

Once again, California knows whats up. The only time you can't buy alcohol is between 2-6am and if your trying to buy more alcohol at that time, chances are your already fucked up. The four hours gives the wino's a nice nap.

Protip: Stockpile alcohol.

I always have at least half a dozen beers and a couple bottles of liquor in my house. I always go and get more if I plan on drinking so as not to disrupt the reserves. I'm also know some places that will let me buy beer any time and charge it in the morning. The people that work there actually know me though and trust me not to let shit get out about what we do. It actually pays not to be a condescending douche bag to the people who pump your gas. Who would have thought? I'm always getting hooked up nigga!

I meant to say a couple dozen my bad. I only keep enough for me and a few people if we decide to get a little tipsy. I don't drink a lot anymore.

I don't celebrate Christmas and never have.

I don't celebrate Christmas and never have.I haven't either. Forty-six years and I've never once celebrated Christmas, or any other holiday, for that matter. I'm a white, well-groomed, spiritually-intelligent Canadian, who has never belonged to any denominational faith. However, my father raised me with the firm belief that holidays are nothing more than economic and political devices, designed for nothing more than profit, imposition of control, and the successful connivances of the Catholic Church. Jesus was never born on December 25th, the ornaments on the Christmas tree represent pagan-religion symbols absorbed by the Catholics as a clever ploy to make more monetary contributors appear. Halloween and the worship of spirits is a practice which is banned in the Bible, and the sexual icons of Easter are surely not a hand-me-down of the Son of God Himself. Holidays are nothing more than business models, ingeniously laid out for the unwitting sheeple by the slugs and cockroaches of time memorial.

You may understand the concept, but you have yet to experience the cumulative effect of years of pessimism and unabashed scorn.
