Has anyone else heard the new Slipknot album "All Hope Is Gone"? I wish there weren't those slow quiet songs on it, but I do quite fancy psychosocial, sulfer, vendetta, butcher's hook, and wherein lies continue. It's a fairly pleasant and positive album overall.

If you like other kinds of music that's fine, I happen to enjoy alot of Slipknot's music. What's Pig Destroyer? I actually don't like alot of metal, I'm pretty picky, and I really hate when you can't tell what the singer is saying, or if there's guitar solos that don't fit with the song.

Dead Memories kinda bugged me. Its a pretty good song, but it almost doesnt feel like Slipknot. Maybe Corey should have saved that one for Stone Sour, I bet they could have pulled it off brilliantly.

I'll agree, too many of their songs sound very same-y. But their singer sucks and the guitarist did better riffs when he was in Anal Cunt (yeah, that's an idea of how bad I think they are).

it's "The thing" not to like Slipknot. it's called "Counter-Culture". some of my favorite bands include Yes, King Crimson, Melvins, so forth; yet, I've got a bit of respect for Slipknot. apperently, here saying you like "Slipknot" automatically classifies you as some sort of lame 'maggot', who wears long black boots that buckle. just like announcing your console of preference over in GPP will classify you a bias 'fanboy'.

Slipknot is just a cheap, angst ridden rip-off of Korn, which I do like.

Even when I was still 12 years old and listened to crappy mainstream metal on the radio, I hated them. Now I just think their music is hilarious. They need 8 people to make shit. I agree on whoever said that the guitarist made better riffs when he was in anal cunt. The drummer actually isn't bad. Can't stand the lame vocals. Bassist? who gives a shit. Overall, their music is just BORING and LAME.

Nah, I like Slipknot. Saw them live at Mayhem and although they're not my favourite metal band it was probably the craziest show I've ever seen. Sure they have a Gimmick.. who fucking cares? It doesn't change the sound of the music.. they probably just threw in the costumes because they were creative.

It's not Slipknots fault if retarded emo kids like their music. Shitty people are still more likely to like good music than shitty music.
