Well this is a general topic on visualization. Anyone is more then welcome to share any ideas or experiences.

And the main reason I made this thread was because I remember someone telling me about a teacher teaching his students to see objects in their minds from many directions ( like being able to see all sides of a box at the same time..) but I do not know if this is true and have not been able to locate any articles on it. Does any one know how this could be done?

I believe there are other uses for visualization which include healing, magic spells, remote viewing, astral projection. If I am wrong feel free to let me know but I do know for a fact that magic could be done with visualization.

I know I've already recommended this book twice on here before, but to learn visualization is one of the reasons I recommended it.

It's called Initiation Into Hermetics by Franz Bardon. You can find it here, simply right click and hit "Save link as" http://highmagic.net/pdf/initiation.pdf

OP, for what it's worth, I totally agree with you.

According to Michael Harner--the numero uno expert on shamanism on the planet--visualization is essential for doing shamanic work, and says that about 90% of the general population can do so.

I agree with Corrupt_Nerd definite look into Bardon's Book.

I have another visualization exercise I came up with that helped me with visualization enough that I could actually start doing the exercises in Harner's book.

I picture a cube, you can start with the entire thing being one color, and begin manipulating it in space. Make it fold out into a cross, and fold back up, fold out into a sideways cross. When this becomes easy to you start putting colors on the sides of the cube, or even images. If you are familiar with a Rubics cube you could also try manipulating one inside your head.
