hello, i just bought the LOTR War of the Ring but i am finding it impossible to save the game, i just get a message saying invalid save. has anybody else gotten this message and do they know how to fix it? its a shame because its a good game aside from this. i have Windows Vista if it helps, any help would be appreciated

What OS are you using?

I have that problem sometimes when trying to play older games on Vista machines.

Try changing the program's compatibility settings to WinXP. That usually clears it up for me.

Thanks for the help but, eh, could you tell me how you do that? and my OS is Vista. I just get the same message: invalid save name but it doesnt save by codes, it should just be a standard click to save but i get that message. Apparantly its happening alot too i've read of others getting this problem.

Right click on the icon for the game and go to properties. There should be a tab that says "compatability". Go there and change the settings to WinXP.

I don't know why Vista does that to some games but, like I said, this should fix the problem for you.

Dunno...you could try also right clicking on the icon and selecting run as admin. Maybe see if there's any updates or patches for the game. There's also uninstalling/reinstalling the game.

That's all the idears that I have.

You could try googling around, see if there's other people that have had the same problem. That's usually the first place I go when I can't get a game to work with Vista.

There's some games that won't play well with Vista no matter what you try.
