Which one would be good to play demanding games like Half Life, CSS, and other games. For about under a grand. I'am looking for excellent graphics and high speed. I can't really choose, and am not exactly sure what would be best.

you want a pre-built system or you want to Build it yourself?

- Intel Core Quad Q6600 processor (awsome price/preformance)
- any 9xxx or 200 series (i'd go for the 9800GT if i were you for price/preformance)
- 4 GB of ddr2-800 or ddr2-1066 RAM (preferably 2x Dual channel) grab some with the LOWEST latency. lower is better for ram.
- a Raptor HDD (10.000 rpm over 7.200 of regular HDD's) (or go for a SSD but those are still pretty expensive)
- and other then that... whatever you want.

in all honesty i'd not buy any of those pc's for gaming you have in your url...
by god those prices are inflated to huge numbers and what they have sucks so many mediocre donkey balls....

Item #: C477-7562 ... only this one is "meh". seriously - i'd not touch any of those with a 10 foot pole.

if you can go to a computer store and read up on computers and whats what... and then either order one at a comp specialty store or build it yourself.

a good place to start is www.tomshardware.com, great benchmarks and suggestions...

my suggestion is above... but in all honesty, for those prices on that site - it'd better include a gold-inlaid deskchair and monitor...

Well those were a few of the games being played. I might get a lot more. Games only get more complex and demanding over time. And was that sarcasm Alex? Lol.

i'm sorry but i STRONGLY recomend you do NOT buy that pc. it sucks donkey balls. HUGE ammounts of them at that.

- CPU is crappy beyond hell. it's one of the worse dual-core's
- Ram -2GB drr2-800? thats redundantly NOTHING. you need 4 gig's and preferably 1066 and not 800.
- grahics card? the 9600 = 8600... THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE. ffs. get a 9800GT AT THE LEAST.

in all honestly - that pc sucks. dont get it. not worth 400, let alone 800!

CPU will be fine.. and there are alot worse dual's to be had, e6300, e2140, 3600X2.....

9600gt = 8600GT are you fucking retarded? the 9600GT almost at 8800GT levels

2GB of RAM is ample 4GB is no where near essential

1066 over 800mhz RAM... whats the fucking point, especially when you get cheap stuff as they just up the latencies so the performance increase is even smaller,

make your own. i did mine, took a qbic case, a Nvidia GeForce GTX 260 for the graphics card, Asus Striker II Extreme ATX Intel Motherboard, many a cooling fans and heat shrinks ( use the chill tec ones, there best for coolin your pc down) i added heat shrinks around the motherboard and graphics card i dont think it did shit though. use OCZ memory, it sounds cool and has lots of gigs! a thermaltake power supply (1000) yes 1000 no its not overkill, a seagate barracuda 1.5 terabite harddrive, goddamn thats just the half of it but ya just go big and custom, i can easily run Crysis 1 and Warhead, no lag or chop. itll run anything but it does get a lil hot i need to drill a few more holes to add more fans but ill give pix later

Are you fuckers serious? Not one of you has posted a fucking newegg link. If I didn't know better, I'd say every single one of you is a troll.

for $1000...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883103154

that will last you 3-4 years minimum. It will probably run hot but you could throw a slot cooler in there and be fine.

Or do what antonio said and build your own. Best bang for the buck 100% of the time.
