Well, I'm about to go to this concert by David Byrne. It's part of his promotional tour for an album he co-created with Brian Eno. Anyway, I've never listened to him before, only a few Talking Heads songs. I was just invited to go for free, so I say what the hell. I looked him up on wikipedia and it said he was new wave/avant-garde/noise, sounds about up my alley, though the Talking Heads songs I heard sounded uber-80s (in a bad way). Hopefully it will be more noise and less echoing voices (like in 'Burning Down the House). Anyway, I'll write-up a small review after I get back. If anything we're drinking our asses off before, so that should make up for knowing none of the songs/lyrics.

i don't know what he's doing in concert these days, but his latest album with Eno was anything but noise. I would call it art pop. It was good though.
