Ok, so i have one with comcast digital cable. on the front of it there is a usb port. is there anyway to connect that to a computer and take things off the drive? if so is it as simple as connecting a usb wire and the drive shows up?

This reminds me of a tivo (I think it was) box we took apart in one of my classes. It had a 40 gig PATA hard drive in it.
