Hey everyone, I have seen many threads like this before so i apologize if they are not welcome or frowned upon however I'm without any Manga to read. I know this is a Anime forum but i always read the Manga before I watch the Anime (if applicable).

Anyway, so far i have read: Gantz and Elfen Lied. I am aware that Gantz is an ongoing series but i really can't be bothered waiting two or three weeks for a single new chapter to become available. So if anyone knows a great Manga that falls within my interests of the genres covered by: Gantz, Elfen lied, Bleach, Wolf's Rain, Desert Punk or Neon genesis. please let me know :D.

It's cool. Manga's one of the many topics we cover here in Anime and, in case you havn't noticed, I don't worry too much about on-topic discussion anyway.

As far as recommendations, I always tell people to read Hellsing. It's fucking awesome. Also Ghost in the Shell and Akira, both are rly old but classics as far as manga goes.

To be honest I havn't read much manga myself. I'm always meaning to read more, but meh.

I've been mod around here for quite a while now. There's a bug in the system that makes my title randomly switch between "Moderator" and "Regular".

Untill a couple of weeks ago my status just said reg, but I had all the powerz.. Somehow Jeff's fix for that resulted in the current bug.

I just deal with it.

Another vote for Hellsing.

If you like Bleach, you'll probably like other Shounen Jump fare, like Naruto (obviously), One Piece, D.Gray man, Shaman King, etc.

Trigun, Appleseed, Deathnote (much better than the anime), Black Cat, Claymore...

Aside from pure action, I really like xxxHolic. Others like School Rumble, harem-types like Love Hina and Negima, you might want to steer away from unless you're a complete otaku geek.

you could also try reading yotsuba&!, ranma 1/2, azumanga diaoh, FLCL (except you'd probably finish that off in about 2 hours), and i especially love the DNAngel manga.

and i also love the fact you read the manga's first, because i'm the same way. :D
