I have this thingo as my antivirus, anyway, when firefox downloads something when it finishes, it says scanning for viruses, but I'm not sure it is norton doing it, because in MSN where I set norton to do it, it pops up and does the scan, then closes, but there's no norton pop up in firefox. How can I do this in firefox? Or should I just go manual and do it myself from the downloads folder?

Also where's the button to scan for updates in norton?

Never had firefox bug me about scanning files i just downloaded for viruses. you can check extension on firefox website. See if someone created one. Or just do it yourself.

My computer has Norton Internet (in)Security installed on it, but I haven't configured it to run or do anything.(because I'm lazy but I still don't want that adware crap running on my system) My firefox says that it's scanning the files for viruses, however no virus scanning software is running. Dammit, I want Ubuntu back.

Norton is crap and will not stop 90% of viruses/bots out there. Install GNU/Linux. (http://gnewsense.org)
