I downloaded Tony Hawk's UnderGround for PC. It's all installed and everything, no problems there, but when I open the program it tells me there's no CD in it.
I checked in the files I downloaded and I found instructions telling me to "mount a file in my virtual drive". This apparently tricks the game into thinking there's a disc in. I found the file but

1) how do I mount it in a virtual drive?
2) what the fuck is a virtual drive?

any suggestions appreciated, thanks

A virtual drive is like a normal CD drive, minus the physical CD.

When you 'mount' a real CD you put it into a real disk drive and it spins and mechanical things happen and your computer see's an image.

When you make a virtual drive, well, it's kind of self explanatory, you make your virtual drive. Then you mount your CD image. Your computer doesn't care if there is a disk there or not, it just see's an image.

CD images are usually stored in .iso, .cue or something else but you need a program to create the virtual drive and then you use it to mount the image.

You could also burn the CD image to a real CD and then use the CD as you would any other CD.

I use Alcohol 120% for both but there are other free alternatives.

(Someone correct me if i'm wrong)

Daemon Tools is better than alcohol 120%.

PowerIso is better than both put together.

Also, you're going to have to reinstall and use a no-cd crack.

Reinstall shouldn't be necessary.
