Is there anyone on totse that has been to the Air Force Academy, or Academy of any of the other branches?

I know that it's really quite difficult to get in and knowing alumni is a plus,

So far right now I've got a 3.35 gpa and am taking flight lessons I'm also taking courses at the local community college. They like to see sports so I think I'm going to join a team of some sort. My goal is to become a pilot.

Any advice would be spectacular!

Get those grades up and do lots of volunteer work. Developing a relationship with your local congressman would be helpful, too.

I'm trying to get my grades up, My goal of course is a 4.0 but I'd really like to have at least a 3.7.

A good friend of mine is applying to be a paige(sp?) for our local representative and that would give me a way to talk/meet with him. I also spoke with his secretary who recommended sending letters to both our senators and other local reps come Jan/Feb.

Get your local congressman to write a letter of recommendation. your GPA looks good, as long as you have a clean record, you should be fine. get your ass in a suit and schedule an appointment with your local congressman.
