Sometimes the back doesn't have two audio jacks. What color is the video/audio on the back?

Do those work when you plug it in? Did you turn the TV out on?

im not sure how to turn the tv out on. what i know is that my cable line from the wall is connected to cable "in" on the vcr, and my tv is connected through a cable cord to the "output jack"

so my cable line runs through it and my tv works. i tried hooking the ipod up to the back and nothing happened.

their is also a switch that has 4 settings:
IRC
HRC
TV
cant read the other.

and im not really sure if my tv has a "video" setting. usually the movies play on ch. 3.

1) Hook iPod into those ports.
2) Start to play a video. There's two options, turn it to "video out".
3) Turn TV to channel 3.
4) Turn VCR "Channel" to "LINE"

Just set the ipod to mono if you can and use only the yellow and whites.

i just got an idea:

could i plug the ipod into the vcr "in put" video and audio holes, then, cut a diff rca cable in half and a cable line in half, then put them together then plug in the rca jacks attached to the cable wire to the rca out jacks on the back of the vcr then plug the other end into the cable "in" and then run another cable wire from the "out" hole to the tv?

i hope that makes sense, its hard to explain.

another attempt to explain, if that one is hard to under stand:
essentially what im saying is the cable wire running from the wall is not used, the tv is only hooked to the vcr, and the cable "in" is connected to the audio and video out, then the ipod is plugged into the audio video "in" then the vcr goes to the tv.

thinking about it again, i dont think it will work. but ill ask anyway just in case.

Another idea:
use two vcr's in the same way described above. shit, idk...

What? =S

you want to use your RCA cables from Ipod --> VCR --> TV right?

Just plug in the yellow one as video in, and the white one as audio in.. where's the problem? the 3rd red cable isn't necessary for it to work on anything else, why would it be on an ipod?

it seems your vcr is not audio stereo capable.
So you have to work with down-converting stereo to mono.
