I bought a Canon Powershot 750 about a year ago, for around $220, I just recently cracked the screen and made it nearly unusable. Now the actual camera works still the same as it did before, but the LCD is completely useless so the only way to navigate through the menus is will a shit load of skill.

What would I be able to do with this camera? I'm pretty sure my warranty is out of date, but I don't want to just toss it because it'd feel like such a waste. Would there be any way for me to take the LCD out and replace it with something a little more mediocre?

You could buy another Powershot 750 on ebay with a different fault, but with an intact LCD. Maybe it doesn't switch on, or the lens is jammed...anything broken as long as the screen is ok.

You can then switch screens over. It's not that hard as the LCD is normally one of the easiest things to remove once the case is off - it's right on top of everything else.
