Speed is a matter of application really.

As you've seen fast combustion just blows the smoke away, no dense cloud, not a proper smoke bomb.
Fast burning SM is pretty decent for solid fuel rocket engines though ... but I wouldn't reccomend one of those in an urban setting with babies on the background.

Lol, im in the countryside. and was no babies around,

we have a small garden is all, there is miles and miles of feilds in all directions.

Yeah, it was meant to be fast, like a 'bomb' Sort of light and dissapear in a cloud of smoke.

also , i made one in a tube yesterday, plugged the bottom(just card board and glue)

filled with the liquid peanut butter mix, with a higher concentration of Kno3*

Make a choke out of wood, rammed and glued this, pushed some thick visco the entire lenght.

tell you what, it make a pretty neat fountain, looks like it def had enough thrust as a rocket.
