Is bleach slowly becoming less and less violent? I compared the magnitude of blood and on-screen violence to the.... Well almost entirely off-screen sword contact slashes in the later episodes of season 4 onwards. I should point out that I am watching the Anime online and it appears it was uploaded by someone who records it off 'adult swim'. Could 'adult swim' be censoring the show or has anyone else noticed the disappointing lack of violence or at least, on-screen ownage?
lethargic

Yeah, I am seriously thinking about not watching it anymore. It's just way too drawn out and corny now.
bleach is ok, fillers suck arse...

filler = aids and fail.
Skip the bount filler and all is well. Skip the amagai filler too. You want blood and guts? Watch episodes 180 - 198. Enough battles there.
*spoiler, don't read*
no if you want blood and guts wait a few eps where Kenpatchi gets the shit beaten outta him.

well, considering that it's shorter, no filler, smaller "episodes" so you get the idea of what's happening much quicker, farther ahead than the anime, and it's less of a download, i'd say it would be easier for you to read the manga than to follow the anime.

Read the manga.
The anime is full of edits, filler, QUALITY, and fail.

yeah, me too.the bounto arc is filler. all of it. skip it and bleach gets watchable again.
in the comic the violence is picking up again.
In this one chapter Matsumoto got her entire rip cage torn off with blood splattering and everything. It was pretty decent if you ask me

Did she die?
I hope not, she accounted for about half of the fan service.

I don't get why the anime directors decided to use the bounto filler arc. Why would they stray from the original manga story which is great and full of win to add a new horrible story?

money.
They would comprise something they are so proud of? It would be like selling your daughter who is a pH D med student to be a prostitute on the side for more money. It's just not right.
If any of you guys had a MAJORLY successful Manga which was being turned into a Anime and some corporate money grabber proposed this filler idea which would extend the series and create more revenue. Would you sell out your life's work and joy? I sure as hell wouldn't, money is nothing compared to integrity and quality.

The fillers are because the anime encroaches on the manga material it is sourced from, which is still ongoing. Since the anime cannot overtake the manga for obvious reasons, rather than have the show pulled from the air they make up filler since Japan doesn't do reruns.

Ahh thanks for clearing that up, makes sense. You guys are gonna need to be patient with me cause despite having a keen interest in Manga and Anime, I'm still quite the noob compared to you guys. Ill catch on soon :D
