Could of used a bigger crossguard, but remember to wrap the hilt in leather else you'll be in for it. If you ever have the time I suggest getting a fuller (blood groove) engraved into it, it makes stabbing things that much easier, it will also make it quite a bit lighter.
Avoid clashing with anything steel, unless it's mall ninjas and their stainless steel swords, then go right ahead.
I also suggest putting a hole in the handle and looping some rope through it, so you can wrap it around your wrist. That will stop it from ever falling out of your hands.
Make an Axe next time.

How much would that much bronze cost? How much does it weigh?

Jesus Christ, I never read more sword crap in one post.
Good job, Napalm, I bet your teacher turned white when you said you weren't making jewelry. :)

the sword weighed roughly 10lbs before i started removing material, its probably much less now. i want to mill a perfectly symmetrical edge on it but I'll need to wait until next semester when i do my machine tool class.
i was going to make a medieval hand cannon too but the mold broke and i had to scrap it until next semester.
