I've been a huge fan of Chuck Schuldiner's work for well over a year now; and while I mourn the fact that he died so young, well before I had even heard of him, when I listen to this music its as if he has always been there.

Consider him duly appreciated. As much as I love his work up to Symbolic, I really think that one is just his absolute best. Although, to be fair, my opinion sways to The Fragile Art of Existence from time to time as well. A wonderful musician who had a surprisingly diverse taste in music (some of his favorite groups were prog rock groups). He will be missed tremendously.

Chuck was the man.
I dig all the Death albums, but my favorite is still Scream Bloody Gore. It's just so brutal.

Haha most of his favorite groups were prog i would imagine. I mean, if u listen to symbolic, human, sound of perseverance u hear extensive progressive influence, almost moreover the death metal in those albums.

7 years, one day.
He won't be forgotten.
My friend has a dog named after him.

I agree. Early Death (and early death metal in general) will always sound more organic, brutal and primitive than the current crop of 100mph blastbeat nonsense (not to say it's all bad, as there are always exceptions)
Scream and Leprosy are both classics, but Human and Symbolic also get a fair amount of play time
