Hey guys. Just thought I'd give a word of warning to those that haven't encountered this yet. The other day I was downloading some freeware programs to test and one of them installed a folder named "Homeview".

Now when I went to that folder to see what it had installed, it was completely empty, so naturally I uninstalled the folder from my system. I thought everything was ok untill my pc started acting funny. So I rebooted into safe mode and ran a scan using "Malwarebytes anti-malware" and it found a trojan virus called "DNS CHANGER". It was located in a folder called "resycled" and the file in this folder was named "boot.com" or something to that effect.

Well I had it removed amd then I rebooted my pc into normal mode and did a second scan which was clean. Yet when I tried to access my hard drive from the "my computer" icon it wouldn't allow me to access it and showed a warning saying "resycled/boot.com not found".

The curious thing is I could access the hard drive windows explorer. So after trying to google a way to fix the problem and finding none, I did a clean reinstall and that fixed the problem.
