I got a hold of an emmy awards dvd for a movie that has not yet been publicly been released on dvd. I'm wondering if I made a copy of the disc, and returned the original, would there be any way for them to tell that I made a copy of it? Perhaps they have some sort of detection?

I got a hold of an emmy awards dvd for a movie that has not yet been publicly been released on dvd. I'm wondering if I made a copy of the disc, and returned the original, would there be any way for them to tell that I made a copy of it? Perhaps they have some sort of detection?

And even if they do, tell them it must have been someone else. So do you think they will check the Disk when you return it. REmember to act not guilty. Movies have been pirated and put online by editing company employees before. But the culprit has not necessarily been fingered. And I want a copy. 5 bucks?;)

Will you be sending to YouKu.com for web release? Or is it just for yourself and friends. I think it is 5 years and/or 250000 dollar fine. Enjoy. And they will probably look to your copying device memory to determine if you are the guilty one. But I doubt they can tell from the original disk that it was copied.
