I am an experienced Tarot card reader and go by the magickal name of Frater Regulus. I am offering my services here to my fellow totseans free of charge. So if you're interested in receiving a tarot reading go ahead and let me know so I can set up an appointment and meet you in Totse IRC chat rooms to perform the reading. I do charge in person, but since we're online, I figured it would be a good way to get some practice.

I'll be using Aleister Crowley's Thoth Tarot deck and using the Golden Dawn's 15 card spread.

Just give me your Sun sign and I'll set up the appointment.

I do tarot readings for myself almost daily and i have read quite a lot about tarot, but I have never seen anything about needing astrological signs to do a reading for someone, yet both you and Arms ask for it. Why is that? What do you use it for?

I suppose it is important to mention that I have only been using tarot for a few months.

Oh, if you don't mind me asking, and I can understand if you don't wish to answer, how much do you charge for a reading in person?

Thanks :)

I ask for their Sun sign so I can tune in with their energies since it is done over long distance. It's almost like to lock on to the target.

Taurus, if you're still doing them.

Whenever your free, I check totse pretty much periodically so any time pretty much works for me.

Speaking for myself, sometimes it just helps.

OP, welcome, and bright blessings on you.

I wanted to do this, but at the same time I didn't want to read anything negative. Nothing against CN, I'm sure he kicks ass at this-- just people need to ask themselves "What if I find out something terrible?" since I'm the kind of person who would dwell on something stupid like that. I've learned ways to remove the fear associated (thank God for that), but because exams are over... maybe I'll try in the future :)

The problem with tarot cards is you might find out something you don't want to know.
Imagine getting an upside down death card. That would suck.

I have been draw the upside down death card almost daily for a while, and to be honest "lethargy" really describes my outlook on life lately.....

Because I am absolutely merciless with myself about my faults, the tarot cards are a great tool for exploring these faults. So for me the tarot being mercilessly honest is great.

On the other hand, when I have done readings for friends I am not quite so ready to tell them about their own faults. Sometimes I even feel bad about knowing them.

I have been told the outcome of some events that I really regret finding out though.

Don't be afraid, Nightside Eclipse, I think it would be more beneficial to know you're future in order that you might be ready to tackle the the things that might be coming your way than to just wait unexpectedly. The Tarot does many a times reveal some things that might seem unfortunate, but I always feel it is better to know what's going to happen than to simply guess and wait.

You know the Death card doesn't always necessarily represent something bad, it could also mean something good such as the accomplishment of a task or the letting go of a burden, putting something to rest in other words. Although an upside down Death card could mean that this accomplishment might bring misfortune or was not finished correctly.

If you're still up for it I am a pisces and I could go for a reading.

sleaz, I will be in the #totse IRC chat room at 6:00PM CT later on today (12/18/08), my screen name is CN, just look for me, send me a pm, and I'll proceed with the reading.

Corrupt Nerd, is it possible to use Tarot Cards on a particular event or person?

Like lets say person A is going to interact with person B, can they figure out what it will be like?
I'm very uneducated on Tarot cards and their function.

In my book, doing third-party readings is unethical. That is, if person A asks something about person B, without person B's knowledge and consent.

We have made exceptions, though, in the case of person B being a young child of person A, a loved one in a coma, stuff like that.

Oops, I forgot to include I was either A or B.
Would that still make it unethical?

EDIT: I wouldn't personally do a reading on an interaction between other people that doesn't involve me, only because it isn't going to benefit me/none of my business.

Guys, I'm sorry, but due to a minor issue I'm dealing with, I'm going to have to suspend the Tarot Readings for a while. I'll let you know when I'm back in business.
