Do they still make $50 dollar handguns? I can honestly say I have never seen one for sale. Are any of those companies still around?

Yes, and "saturday night special " is a racist term, so don't use it unless you're in the Brady Campaign, in which case you'd rather disarm those scary minorities.

hi point c9 is a cheap gun that is pretty reliable and around 100-150$.
My Jennings .22LR was acquired at an ELGS about 10 years ago. It cost $80 back then.
Another that comes to mind is the Clerke First Revolver in .32S&W. I acquired one of those private party a short while ago: $70.

its not at all. anyone can buy a saturday night special. People try and say black people only buy them but this is nt true. it is more like ignorant(ignorant of firearms) people buy cheap guns.
dont get a raven arms mp-25 .25acp. They are shit. and the .25acp is a horrible round.

I like mine. Almost 300 rounds through it without cleaning and no jams at all. When I hit 500 I'll just clean out the barrel and at 1500 I will spray some gun oil into the firing pin slot.
I've heard them called the AK-47 of pistols, and it's a fair statement when you know how they work. Very simple to make, a failure point can easilly be diagnosed, and it's not even designed to be cleaned. A pin holds the firing pin back and the trigger pushes a bar which rotates and pulls the hold pin down which releases the firing pin. So simple.

I beg to differ, Saturday Night Special comes from the term "Niggertown Saturday Night"
If you use it, Sarah Brady and David Duke both smile.

IIRC, they were originally called "Niggertown Saturday Night Specials".

Not only that, the term and the idea were put forth to keep poor blacks unarmed. The idea that a gun should be affordable enough that a minority could afford one was probably terrifying to gun-grabbers. Considering they live in the most crime-ridden areas and generally could benefit the most from having them, the whole concept is retarded.

I think it's a bit simplistic to think this way. The same gun-grabbers that would love to see your AR's burn in a fire are the same people that want to see blacks get ahead at the expense of others.
It's not about wanting to disarm blacks, it's about their misguided ideas of driving down gun crimes.

yeah how are you supposed to clean it? It doesn't have a field stripping guide?
