Gotta say..this looks pretty fucking awesome. As far as the X-Men story goes...it's got Gambit (as a villain..but he looks awesome, regardless), and I don't know who Liev Schrieber's character's supposed to be; an early Sabertooth perhaps/

Rock and roll.

Looks pretty epic. I'm a big fan of X-Men.

Liev Schrieber is cast as Victor Creed/Sabretooth.

I'm epically bored of any superhero movie that isn't Batman related nowadays. I tried sitting through the new Hulk film after watching the Dark Knight and realised it was flimsiest piece of story telling I've ever seen and the action sequences sucked balls. And considering I've never found any of the X-Men movies too entertaining I can't say I'm holding my breath for this one.

If it's as forgettable as the x-men films, forget it.

X-Men 1 and 3 were pretty forgettable, I'll give you that, but part 2 was awesome.

Looks like it's shaping up to be better cool, I wasn't a big fan of X-Men 1 or 3 but I've got high hopes for this.

Deadpool.

I didn't really see Deadpool in the trailer (unless he's the one at the end of the trailer?), but he's confirmed on Wiki, and that's fucking awesome. If it comes down to it, Deadpool is going to whip Wolverine's ass.

They'd better make a Deadpool movie. Fuck Ant-Man, fuck Thor, fuck Captain America. Deadpool is where its at.

Ryan Reynolds is Deadpool, he's the dude with the sleeveless red suit and two swords.

IDK, if anyone could pull off Deadpool it'd be him.

The only cool part was when Logan was getting torn apart by Phoenix and kept regenerating.

That whole scene was total shit. His adamantium wasnt being torn away, only his skin. If the metal was torn away too he wouldn't be able to regenerate it.

Do you have a point? The metal is supposed to be indestructible.

So...are you just retarded, or what?

The problem with all the X-men movies is that they didn't chose the right X-men to put in or didn't put in enough.

I watched the cartoons as a kid to see them battle (yes, there was lots of fighting, and rogue wasn't useless) super villains like Magneto, Omega Red, Juggernaut, etc. I wanted to see lots and lots of mutant on mutant fighting. X2 was the best because a lot of humans got owned and I thought we'd finally get to see cool characters like nightcrawler, full on iceman, rogue flying, colossus, etc, but it was only for a moment and they missed out on a whole bunch of awesome characters. Jubilee needed to be there, so did Gambit, the giant Apocalypse robot guy, juggernaut needed to be 12 feet tall, etc.

X3 should have been way more awesome, but they just killed off all the cool characters. And the mutants they faced were stupid. Hey, look at me, I can grow spikes out of my face. Wow, gay.

If they added in all of the action and bullshit that you wanted to see in X2, it wouldn't have been as good.

Comic book fans (and fans of cartoons based on comics) + movies = No.

Nobody wants to watch a bunch of random characters duking it out for 2 hours, which is exactly one of the reasons X-Men 3 was such a terrible movie.

Well, thats just because they had so many shallow, uninteresting abominations of actual x men characters. Like, the gay dude that made shockwaves? The only thing to learn about that character in the whole movie is that he's a gay dude and makes shockwaves. I don't want to know every characters backstory, but at least make it interesting.

Judging by the trailer, it looks like they're taking themselves a little too seriously. It's looking really cheesy and overdramatic.

I'll still watch it though.

I sensed that too.

But still.

Wolverine. AND Deadpool.

What more could you ask for?

His healing is independent of the adamantium.

I thought deadpool was supposed to be this party decomposed guy who wears a mask and kills people with swords and machine guns. Theres no way they're going to have Ryan Reynolds wear a mask the entire movie.

"Movie adaptation."

AKA, A movie studio making a decision at the expense of the actual storyline of the character, to make the movie more marketable.

That, is what is going to be the death of the movie industry. That's just why I think that all marketing execs should hang from a lone branch.

exactly, the adamantium was put in by scientists as seen in this trailer, it isn't his mutant power, his power is extremely fast healing as seen in x-3 etc.

It comes with the territory but if Wolverine does well enough then a Deadpool movie isn't out of the question.

As long as the character isn't change too drastically I won't be complaining.

Adamantium is virtually indestructible. It would be MUCH harder to reconstruct or tear apart the molecules of the substance.

I mean, even the Hulk can't break Adamantium, and he literally has unlimited strength. The only case I can remember is when he bent an Adamantium needle, and that was about it.

Also, you can't expect a fictional universe to be realistic. I mean, if you ever read the comics where Wolverine's claws are out, sometimes they are depicted as being shaped like a blade, sometimes round, sometimes really long, sometimes short, and sometimes really long, sometimes really curves and sometimes really straight. Stop nitpicking over every little thing and just enjoy the fucking movie.
