I was asking about this in my other thread, but it's pretty much off task for there now.

CAN ANYONE TELL ME ABOUT THIS? HOW MUCH $$ DO WELDING SUPPLY PLACES CHARGE TO FILL ACETYLENE AND OXYGEN CYLINDERES (BOTH 40 CF)??? AMT YOU PAID, BALL PARK FIGURE, ANYTHING.

I have fuckin picked through the internet like I'm looking for lice on a grizzley bear, for a message board blurb or info in a FAQ etc, and I can't find anything helpful. I called a gas supply place in my area and had the wrong number, so nothing there. helppp!

I found this (https://weldingsupply.securesites.com/cgi-bin/einstein.pl?Next::1:UNDEF:OR:terms::PH) but it doesn't make any sense. Look at the prices on acetylene... and they only have 2 sizes listed for oxygen.

I'm planning on buying both of these, not renting/leasing em, cause I will only be using them once in a while and if I can have em for 10 yrs before they're pressure-certification expires, that's not to bad.

thanks for any help

Neither of those tells how much it costs to get your own oxygen or acetylene bottle of any size refilled.
There's a few statements about cost of refilling bottles rented from BOC, but they are discussed in abstract sizes of J, X, T, etc.
The rest of it is just everyone bitching about what a ripoff some companies (mainly BOC) are with their leasing policies and hidden charges.

I just found this for acetylene (http://www.stoodyind.com/Catalogs/FISC/current/05catpg019.pdf) and this for oxygen (http://www.stoodyind.com/Catalogs/Commercial/current/05catpg029.pdf). The prices listed for each size of cylinder atleast follow a logical order... do these look correct? They actually seem kinda cheap to me, but I couldn't say.

someone in here has got to have an oxy/acet torch... pleeease let me bask in your knowledge of this subject.
