I know how to extend my desktop onto another monitor or onto my TV, but is it possible to hook up more than one at a time? For example, four monitors, each displaying a different website. Is it possible to do this from a laptop with only one svga and svideo out or would I have to use my desktop and add multiple video cards? would i need one for each monitor?
if you have a laptop with a video connector, some places sell video splitters, which can let you use two instead of one, but i dont know if using multiple splitters would work or not. the maximum might end up being 3 screens total. But it might work.

If you used a splitter, the same signal would be displayed on all the screens. He wants his desktop extended, not duplicated.
OP: If you have laptop with a docking connector - HP, Dell and IBM do - buy a docking station. These normally have a DVI and VGA output, both of which can be used independantly to extend onto two monitors.
Otherwise, you'll have to use your desktop. Simply add another video card - each one can be used independantly, and the more cards you have, the more screens you can use.

there are places online selling USB video card things. These would work, but might have limitations. Google it.

I once bought a USB video card and they are worthless.
The thing wasn't even compatible with windows.

LOLWUT?
I would just get a docking station of you don't already have an output on the laptop. I use dual monitors regularly on my desktop, and I hook my laptop up to the TV all the time to stream movies from my computer.
