I'm looking to buy myself an mp3 player with some cash I got for my birthday and some early xmas present money.
So far I've narrowed the seach down to one of two players, the Samsung S3 (http://www.samsung.com/au/consumer/detail/features.do?group=mp3audiovideo&type=mp3player&subtype=mp3player&model_cd=YP-S3JQB/XSA) and the Sony NWZE436FB Walkman (http://www.sony.com.au/walkman/catalog/product.jsp?categoryId=30333) (might need to scroll down a bit on the side to find the right model), but I was wondering if anyone could give me some opinions on them? I've had a look at a few reviews of both and so far the only real difference I can find seems to be that the Samsung doesn't have as long of a battery life, but that doesn't really bother me.
I'm only looking for about 4 gigs and around the $130-140 (AUD) mark if someone would like to reccomend me something else, but don't reccomend iPods though.

EDIT: Here's a comparison of the 2 players (http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/portal/page/portal/tggwebcms/corporate/products/comparison?storeId=57&categoryId=1&groupId=60)

EDIT AGAIN: I ended up buying the Samsung, so don't bother replying to this thread any more.

Creative Zen. Cheap, good quality sound and vid, and durable. Just do it.

Any particular Creative Zen models in my price range you'd reccomend looking into?
The only other thing that will depend on them being added to the list will be if I'm able to find one. I remember hearing that they were good ages ago, but I've never actually seen any in local stores (I don't shop online).

Get the Creative Zen X-Fi.
You won't regret it unless you need more than 32GB of storage space.

I've got a Zen V Plus, it was $130 and is 2gig, but thats all i need. I'm pretty sure you can get 4 gig ones for not much more.

I had a quick look around earlier today at a few shops and I didn't see a Creative Zen within my price range (even asked if they had any other models, the cheapest I saw was $110 more than I had to spend), so I ended up buying the Samsung S3, it's pretty fucking good I reckon.
But thanks for the suggestions guys.

I'd go with the Sony for sound and build quality - the Zens are nice and cheaper for high capacity uniits (sound quality's pretty good on the recent ones as well), but they don't feel nearly as solid.

I personally use a Cowon D2 - about the same price point as a Zen, features and sound quality are awesome, but they're very fickle if you don't like the interface. The new O2 looks to fix a lot of that up, but it's a considerably bigger unit.

***I missed that last post. Oops.
