I was sitting on my bed when I happened to look over at my computer. It was at that time I seen the most strange of sights. A JPEG image file would appear on my desktop as a clickable icon but then disappear a second later. It would then reappear and then disappear a second later. I tried clicking on it but no pic opened up. This happened about 7 times before I unplugged myself from the internet. I just plugged myself back into the net again and it seems to have stopped. Any ideas on what the hell was happening?

Do you have some sort of webcam software or something running? Usually those programs will take a picture and remove them constantly.

Maybe someone in your household installed shit on your computer to take screencaps of your desktop? idk.

Dell had a program that could be used by the photo editor to flash the screen with images that were downloaded to the computer from a camera. Usually on a black screen. It would cycle thru all the images. What was the image shown anyway? Porn?

No ones had access to my computer and no camera software running or anything thing like that.

Sounds weird, but I remember when I wrote a backdoor. The server would take a screenshot, save it to the desktop, send it to the client, then delete the jpeg file. Maybe it's something like that...

It's the Feds.

Next time it happens check your processes that are running.
