Are any of the programs that scan your computer and fix all the problems completely free?
Are they all scams?
I need my computer to work but i don't want to spend the money to do it if it won't work.
I know RDProggramer helped me last time and told me to hit him up on AIM but he was never on so if you see this thread RDP give me a time to get a hold of you please.

What do you mean by "scan/fix"? I'm assuming you're talking about viruses/spyware...If so, Spybot S/D is great shareware, same with AVG. They both update their databases pretty frequently, and seem to be thorough. They got rid of Virtumonde with ease, so they're not too bad.

It goes through your system and shows all the errors.
It fixes like 20 of them with the internet version and you gotta pay to get the rest fixed.

That sounds like Anti-virus 2009. It is a scam spyware that is a bitch to remove. It has it's own thread here - search for it or just scroll down a little and you will see it.

I am on AIM almost 24/7. I'm not always responsive, but I'm there, IM me and I'll respond soon enough. Except the next 48 I am driving across the country so will be out of touch.

MalwareBytes is also a good choice if you're removing Antivirus2009.

Spybot and Ad-Aware are the other 2 programs I've used for years. You can try Stinger too. All free.
