Hey, not sure if this is the right forum or if these even exist, but I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find some turntables (preferably with variable pitch controls) that are single or ep sized.
You know, for playing 7 inches and only 7 inches...
Thanks!

Dude any turntable that plays at 45rpm plays 7"s. Which is almost all of them as far as I've seen.

Well, yeah. But that's not nearly as cool.

I have seen hardcore vinyl freaks at flea markets carrying around portable 45 players which only play 7" 45rpm. But I have no idea where you could get something like this; obviously no one is producing these things anymore. I agree that this si cool and I would like to own one. I am fairly drunk while posting this by the way. I would suggest asking your local bearded record store clerk and/or lurking ebay compulsively.

They did make 7" players. However, it was only during the 50's and part of the 60's before 45rpms lost the format war and were reduced to only being used for singles. You can find some of these players on ebay or occasionally in a thrift store. The problem is, these players will be 40-50 years old, fragile, and belt-driven...probably not the best combination for DJ equipment.
