Seriously, so many of these games are just straight up amazing, and a lot of them show far more innovation than their $60 brethren.

World of Goo
Braid
Geometry Wars 2: Retro Evolved
Audiosurf
LostWinds

I could make a very strong case for either World of Goo, Braid, or Audiosurf being the best game released this year. Just some truly amazing stuff for great prices. Both World of Goo and Braid are only $15, and Audiosurf is usually $10, but it was only $2.50 for Steam's weekend deal a few weekends back. Audiosurf is probably my most played game of the year too, and it cost me less than $10.

Pixel Junk Eden is good as well.

TF2 was also $10 over the weekend.

hey did you see that Aquaria is available on steam now? I think it was your thread that got me to play that game when it was released. relevance: I think it's $15 as well.

Yeah, I don't know much about PJ: Eden but it looks cool. I would have mentioned Super Stardust HD as I love the portable version, but it was released last year :(.

I wouldn't count TF2 though because it was not $10 when it came out and it also as a boxed retail copy available. Still an excellent game though, especially for $10. I told my brother with his new computer he had no excuse not to buy it at that price. Steam weekend deals are fucking awesome. First one I got was the Penny Arcade Adventures: Episode 1 for $10. For twenty I might have been a little disappointed, but it was a good value at ten. Which is why I'm waiting for the second one to be a weekend deal before I purchase it :D.

Yeah, Aquaria is downloadable only too I believe, but it was $30 when it came out and was originally released at the tail end of last year. Also an excellent game and for $15 everyone should jump on it.

Also, 95% of anime is faggot shit. One Piece is included in that 95%.

You forgot Castle Crashers and Street Fighter 2 HD

I contemplated mentioning Castle Crashers because I enjoyed the demo, but the final release was rife with game ending bugs that screwed people over constantly. From crashes, to deleted saves, to broken multiplayer. The game still hasn't been patched months later, but the people at The Behemoth have said it's coming soon.

I couldn't in good conscience recommend something like that.

As for SF2HD, I've never liked any Street Fighter, so that's why it was absent from my list.

WipEout HD, bitchez.

Bionic Commando ReArmed.

what I've played of PixelJunk Eden is pretty sweet.

Pain came out last year, but two new environments have been released for it this year; which are pretty good.

WipEout HD, bitchez.

Yeah, that was a pretty great release for $19.99. Most people were predicting it would cost at least $30, and more likely $40. It's the only title that's made me really want a PS3, but I can't justify plunking down that kind of money to play one $20 game. Some day though.

impressive enough; graphically, it's also probably the smoothest game I've ever seen/played in my life, let alone on the PS3. that's alot coming from a download title. especially for $20. it's not even the "PS3" WipEout. that's to come in the next few years, I believe. if you manage to get a PS3 down the line, be sure to check it out.

what I've played of Braid was pretty neat; I'll be sure to get it once it comes to the PSN.

Almost every single game in this thread is not worth 20 dollars. Braid is about the only one, the rest suck.

Fair enough. I truthfully never played the full game of Castle Crashers, but I thought the demo was extremely fun. It sucks that the full game is riddled with bugs.

Show us your list of games worth 20 dollars, let alone 60.

Hell yeah, audiosurf. That game is possibly the most fun inebriated game, as long as you're not prone to epilepsy.
