I bought spore, not long after it was released.
I became victim to it's fanatical DRM restriction.

I just find it incredible that EA keeps their fanatical DRM on the retail copy, but theres no way they can do that over Steam. I mean, what is Steam going to do, make sure you don't install the game 3 times?

It's shitty how they'll allow someone who buys the game over a specific service to get the full freedom to not be tied down by the DRM, but those who bought it retail straight from EA's certed retailers get the shaft.
