Hi.
I have a phone in my room. Is there any way that I can disable its ring (so that people can`t disturb me) however I can still dial out
thanks
Take it apart and cut the wires going to the beeper. That way it won't make a sound but you can still dial out.
Plug it in only when you want to use it. Or do what the other guy said, but thats a bit more permanent unless you put a switch on the ringer.

This is the kind that doesn't need to be plugged in, and to the poster above, i don't know how to take it apart or which is the wire to cut.
Is there some other way please? thanks

Undo the screws and check that shit out; the wire you want is one of the ones going to the loudspeaker (The one that makes the noise. Find out which speaker makes the noise).
You aren't disarming a bomb, the worst that can happen is that you snap something and then you have to buy another £5 house phone.

What kind of phone do you have? All the phones I've ever owned have had a switch on the side that turns off the ringer, or, in newer ones, a menu option that disables the ringer.
This is the kind that doesn't need to be plugged in
So its a cell phone? Should have a setting to disable the ringer in the menus somewhere. Or just turn the shit off when not in use.
