every time my computer turns on, it runs a checkdisk. sometimes i can stop it, sometimes i can't. i'm running windows XP service pack 2 and have 7 internal spinning hard drives. i use a wireless, bluetooth keyboard. i am not using a RAID setup and this is all after a normal, safe shutdown. it runs a checkdisk on H:, and says i can press any key to stop it. if i press anything when it's just asking for the H: drive, it stops. but recently 2 checkdisks occur, first asking about E:, then H:. when it says to press anything to stop E:, it won't stop. but then after E: gets finished, H: runs, and i can stop that with a keystroke. when either scans, it blows through it, and it doesn't find anything. if one of those hard drives doesn't come up, another one might. if i turn off all the hard drives used as storage, i don't get the checkdisk.

this all started when i had some issues with my storage hard drives. (all storage drives are housed in the Addonics 5SA Disk Array, http://tinyurl.com/8tqoy which works fine)

i'd just like to stop it from running at all, since it takes time out of my startup and isn't helping the computer at all. if one of those hard drives doesn't come up, another one might. if i turn off all the hard drives used as storage, i don't get the checkdisk. how can i stop these from coming up?
