I plan on getting a 4850, but I'm going to need a new PSU first. And seeing how PSU's are generally cheaper than gfx cards, I'm going to spend my crrent supply of money on a psu and gfx card after all the Christmas money rolls in. Is there anything important I need to know about PSUs like compaibility issues ro anything of the like. I always hear horror stories of people buying shitty brands for cheap and it fucking thier whole system. What about this one for a cheap psu? (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371019) I've heard Antec was a good brand. Would a 500W psu be enough to power a 4850, amd 5000+ dual core(not OC), 4gbs of ram, one hard drive, and one dvd drive? I've never really fucked with power supplies before so if any other info is needed, just ask.

Yes, the Antec will be plenty.

Just slowly save up your money towards a computer build you want to make. And then by the time you have that money, it'll probably be a hundred dollars less. It'd be cheaper this way.

I built mine for 500 on black friday, this mofo runs anything on high now.

I would, but I'm in desperate need of an upgrade. I have a shitty 8600:(. My upgrade timeline will probably go like:
psu>video card>mobo>cpu(most likely a new one will be needed by then)>another video card

Yes, the Antec will be plenty.
Really?

If you can't afford to buy a computer, don't buy a computer. "Upgrading" slowly is retarded. And the word upgrading is a term often misused in the world of PCs. Every couple of years you'll just have to buy a new mobo, processor, ram and graphics card. That's hardly upgrading, as you're just buying a new PC.
