I remember watching this show where the main character was a little kid and he would plan to do stuff or ask how things work. So he would then go to this old man who would write on a blackboard explaining to him how to do it or how things work.

So in this one episode this kid asked if he could make rain happen to help out farmers, so he went to this old guy and he would first explain how rain works and then draw up airplanes and show how we could make it rain, then the blackboard would become animated to help show this.

I know I'm being really vague but as I can remember it's an awesome show and I'd love to watch it again for nostalgia purposes :)
