If you leave them off for a long enough period, yes. A few minutes isn't really gonna make a big difference.

though maybe not depending on the type of wood.

ie. cheap guitars use plywood, thus no.

guitar makers don't usually put a finish on the inside of the guitars, so the pores of the wood isn't blocked off.
