so 8 years ago my dad got into an accident and it was his 2nd DUI. he got his license taken away but, he's payed all the fines and done everything he was suppose to do to get back his license, yet they won't. Now they want him to pay the fines AGAIN to get his license. I know this is complete bullshit, right? he's got a lawyer trying to fight to get his license back, but is there anything else he can do that could help?

If the state is demanding money like that his best course of action is what he is doing now with the attorneys.
