Does anyone have any tips on how to fight riot police?

Obviously the guns would be a problem, but they usually do not use them in riot control.

Any tips for avoiding tear gas? Blind spots in police gear? Protection against rubber bullets? How do you escape a police riot?

Canadians in WWI were the first to develop a way to be all sorts of kinds of chemical agents (works on Tear Gas too) by pissing on a rag. The amonia neutralizes the chemical agent.

Those phone books WILL work for body armor against a riot stick and
rubber bullets, but wear a helmet too. Simple bicycle helmet will help.

No not exactly, more like you hold it to your face and breath through it when there is chemicals in the air. As far as the phone book thing goes they actually will stop a bullet, from most police hand guns if its tight enough. I would probably double stack them though and still wouldn't trust it myself. Thats just me though I'm used to wearing 10lb ESAPI plates.

Ha! Killdozer is one of my heroes. The only thing I would've done different is painted the thing black and red and had music playing out of it as I smashed up that town. :)

And if you're not fond of pissing on a rag, just buy some Sudecon wipes. They're not that expensive.

You have to understand that a "Police Riot" is a riot that is started by the police when they start clubbing people who they have no cause or right to start clubbing.
It is the duty of all citizens to stop "Police Riots" even if we fail.

There's no need to piss on a rag. A bandanna over your face damped with apple cider vinegar will work just fine.

im actually suprised not many people use cars against a phalanx of riot officers.

The goggles and vinegar soaked bandanna will work in a pinch.

CS is seldom used, OC is the chemical defense spray of choice for crowd control. If you're lucky they're using some cheap brand of OC, if you're unlucky they're using a 1lb Fox Labs fogger. Gas masks will only protect you against the respiratory effects of OC, you'll still feel the burn. Everyone should get sprayed with OC at least once in their lives. Whenever I pull my little black can of Fox labs from my holster shitheads instantly become compliant.

Why would you want to fight cops during a riot? That's like asking for an asswhoopin. Go commit some opportunistic crimes while the cops are busy.

Use of the riot police's favourite weapon against them: the fire hose!

I can see you live in the USA. In the USA fire hydrants are above ground so you don't need a standpipe. Look at the fire hydrants near the protest site. Determine their size (typically 70mm) and connector (threaded or Storz). Go on the internet and buy a hose with the correct size and dimensions and a nozzle.

When a protest is going on place these items in a backpack. Casually walk towards a fire hydrant with a group of people. The group should block the police's view while you connect the hose to the hydrant. Connect the nozzle to the end of the hose and roll out the hose. Get the guy on a megaphone to yell out "surprise waterfight"!
