View Full Version : Using my 640gb external hard drive with a Xbox 360?
I think I have to format the entire drive to FAT32. I tried adding a FAT32 partition but it wasn't recognized why I plugged it in. Is there any easy way to do this? Its going to take hours to copy all my data off the drive then the same to put it on if I have to format it.

You can do it with the PS3. not the 360. unless it's branded Microsoft, and specifically 360; it's a big no.

I don't have a DVD player, so I rip movies and put them on there. There's also a plethora of other videos, pictures, and music.
I was going to go with 120 gb when I went to the store, but the 1tb drives were on for $120 and 120 gb was $99 so I opted for the higher.
It does take a while for the xbox to recognize it, though.
Also, sorry it wasn't something more exciting/creative.
