give me your tips!
go out at night, take screwdriver, remove license plates from cars. put them on your car, give yourself a week max until a cop runs your plates and you get fucked in the ass in jail.

Easy is as easy does.
if someone wanted, they could create a good fake plate with an inkjet. put inside one of those plastic cases to protect from moisture.

Fail!
Negros in illinois like to use fake temp tags. They're easier to make because they're made of paper and not treated with scotchlite.
buy them off ebay. they are like $10 a pair.
Fail!
and you know this how? obviously you've never tried it.

No because its fucking retarded and a cop would pull your bitch ass over in a heart beat if he saw it.

Make sure both cars are the same make and model.
You can buy 'novelty' number plates on the internet.

1. Find same make/model/color/year of your car.
2. Make sure your target car does not have unique nor personalized plates.
3. Swap plates for your non-unique non-personalized plates.
4. Pray they don't notice their new license plate number (most don't.)
5. Cop runs your stolen plates and you come back clean. Unless the dude you swapped with has an outstanding warrant.

Just make sure you don't hang an air freshner on the rear view mirror. I got pulled over for that shit. They ran my plates when they were behind me, after finding out I had previous DUI's and DAS, they lit me up and when I asked them why I got pulled over they said, "You were hanging an air freshner on the rear view mirror." I was like WTF! So make sure if you do get fake plates to make every turn perfect, use your blinkers, and always make complete stops when needed, and as soon as you see a cop behind you try to calmly turn at the nearest intersection so he doesn't have time to run your plates.

Find someone with a machine press and engineering skill (a mechanic/metal engineer). They can easily do it.

they can't pull you over for having an air freshener on your rearview, that's profiling/harassment.
this is for entirely legal purposes but i will still stay far away from any donut shops.

yeah i dont think stealing the license plate is such a good idea, although its good to know it's only a couple screws

Do you think a cop is actually going to admit to that? He'll find something else to pin on you.

Find someone with a bench, sheetmetal, a hard rectangular prism shaped object and a hammer.
Print off a copy of the number plate. Cut out the numbers and letters. Trace them onto the sheetmetal. The hard rectangular object must be the same width as the lettering. Place the object under a straight part of a letter. Grab the hammer and bang the sheetmetal around that part of the letter to make a large indent. Move the rectangular object around to another part of the letter and bang it with a hammer. Repeat.
Corners can be done by finding/creating an object with the same radius. Otherwise use the straight piece and move it every few hits to create the curved parts of the numbers or letters.
If you stuff up it doesn't really matter because sheetmetal is cheap.
In theory these homemade plates should be indistinguishable from the real thing when it is on a vehicle.

This.
I was thinking about cloning a stolen car a while back, and this is the method I was thinking about.
Make sure when you paint the plate, mix your paint with tiny bits of crushed glass to get the reflectivity.
Then all you gotta do is steal some tabs.
EDIT: Theres like 16 states where they have license plates that don't have the embossed numbers and letters. They're just flat. You should check around to see if any cars have these, they would be alot easier to clone
