Ok so I was looking at videos on youtube and found this somehow and thought what the hell where are all the cops and smart people like this when you need them. I think this should be mandatory viewing for anyone that wants to vote on a gun ban law or what ever you call it sorry im drunk but this video is too damn good to pass up on sharing with your guys. Im assuming this guy in the beginning is talking about the incident in california with the bank and AK47 armor covered guys. WATCH the whole thing its amazing how awesomely great this is for anyone that is trying to get people to not ban weapons.

Guy definitally brings up some good points that alot of average people would misunderstand. Shows a great example of how we portray weapons basically by what we see on TV how you can take a old school looking rifle and make it look all high speed and looks more terrifying than what it is.

Well given the right distance, correct me if I'm wrong but I'm sure a 300 grain slug could penetrate most police armor? I know for a fact many if not most rifles alone (even without the "Assault" title) can penetrate through police body armor. Cop's only wear kevlar armor w/o plates. I know there are 2 handgun rounds inparticular that have success blowing through all non-plate kevlar armor that cops wear. I know the body armor we are issued in the military (pretty much same as police minus plates) is only intended to stop 9mm, birdshot/buckshot, and most other small calibers between .22 to .45. I wouldn't put my faith in kevlar though fuck that. Shit wears and tears if its constantly on you being used.

Plates are where it counts, heavier and suck balls in training and realistic use but if your expecting a show down I feel like god in full battle rattle.

Soft Armor isn't meant to stop 5.56 on up caliber rounds chambered into a rifle. Perhaps some more modern ones "say" they are able to but its definitally not meant to and I wouldn't trust that shit with my life. Give me an AR-15 with .223 and there wont be a cop in site within 300m that will be protected. Hypothetically.

In Iraq was my first time actually getting to use my weapon on real targets. While .223/5.56 has a piss poor damage ratio the fact that thing blows through any object like a hot knife through butter gave me a hard on walking the streets.
