I'm considering spending the $600 CAD for this watch. They are built very well and are issued to coast guards and other people that require heavy duty watches. I see it as a one-time purchase, it should last me a lifetime. Plus it has radioactive vials and glows in the motherfucking dark all the time without need for "recharging" using a light source. How fucking badass is that? All jokes aside, I would have some use for the tritium glow as well as a sturdy watch. What does totse think?

PS: If I had the money for a fucking Ball watch, I'd get one (or more than one) in a heartbeat.

most ppl here will just tell you to get a cheap-ass watch. It's totse.

Get a seiko monster.

edit:
also no one recognizes ball/marathon. However, both are very well built.

Cool. I assume that will last you a long time, providing you don't loose it... like most people would. Take some insurance out on it just incase. Watches with big faces own.

I thought this was a good idea, but think about it. Get any cheapo Casio watch. You can spend less than 100 dollars on a watch that's been flight qualified by NASA, and you won't even have to set it (atomic). You can even spend less than $40 on a good watch, and unless you do some crazy shit and have to replace it 15 times, you're not going to spend 600 dollars in your lifetime.

If you really want a fancy badass watch, go all out.

I was never a fan of the Bond watch. They are nice but way overpriced. I have about 4 electronic Casio watches, I stopped wearing them when I outgrew them 5 years ago.

I was thinking about the Seiko Monster, it looks similar to the SAR watches. However, I like the TSAR a lot more. I'll admit the fact that I think tritium illumination is cool as fuck. This is the difference between a 200$ watch and a 600$ watch (700+ with a steel bracelet).
