What if a liquor store clerk took your fake ID and called the cops, and you got out of there, but the ID had your real info on it. The county it was taken in is not the one you live in, but it's close by. The county it was taken in has little crime, but the county you live in has a lot of serious crime. Are the cops going to try and track you down, or will they just let it go because they have better things to worry about? Which cops are dealing with it, county A or county B?

You're 17 years old, and you've had no previous citations. This is technically a misdemeanor. Is this going to go on your record/are you going to have to mark it on your college applications (due next week). Is this a big deal or a little one?

So, are they going to hunt you down, and what repercussions will this have for college?

You're pretty scared, by the way.

EDIT: now that I think about it, there's no reason for this to be hypothetical. It happened to me.

Short answer: No nothing is going to happen

Long answer: It all depends on the the laws that govern your country. There are internal and external treaties that govern international extradition. It wouldn't be to improbable that federal statute allows for extradition for misdemeanors as many countries will extradite suspects who are not yet formally charged with any crime. However I really, really doubt any nation has the resources to take action against such a petty crime. Extradition is usually limited to serious crimes that involve a lot of money for jeopardize public safety. If the clerk did call the police this problem could present itself if you get into further trouble in the foreign nation.

the op said " county" not " country". this makes a huge difference in what will happen.
to OP: the police that have jurisdiction over the place where the crime took place will be on the case. u might be fucked, u might not be. only time will tell...
