Yes, another one. Anyway.
I have a laptop running Vista (inb4 shitstorm), and recently it wouldn't boot up. Through my own attempts, I finally have it booting up, and logging on, but the second it loads my desktop, it completely freezes. I've done a memory test, so it's not the memory. I definitely meet the required needs for Vista in terms of hardware. It isn't a cooling issue. It only loads essential programs when it starts up. I don't think it's a virus. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? The laptop's only about a year old at the very most.

Remove all pcmcia cards and then try to boot. Also try without the power adapter cord plugged in using only battery power.

Yeah, my laptop had an issue where it wouldn't boot. All I did was take the wireless card out and it booted fine. However it was still in warranty, so I sent it in to be repaired.
