Just felt curious what totse's thinks of it. Its not really even hip hop its kind of some pop borderline emo , with a black guys voice. The beats are catchy though I must say.

Disappointing to say the least. Kanye can pull off the vocoder shit better than most(See Dedication 3), but he still shouldn't be using it THAT much.

I liked it, but was let down by it. Coming off of Graduation and, well, several other great hip-hop albums, I had set a pretty high bar for Kanye mentally. But it's not a bad album; even the worst songs are alright. I can see what Zig is saying, though. If you don't like auto-tune, this will not win you over. I liked it, though. I wouldn't be opposed to seeing him return to this style somewhere down the line.

I like it when artists try to go for a totally new style. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Props to him for being creative and changing things up a little, but the album itself is pretty shit. A couple of the songs grow on you a bit, but for the most part the album is fucking boring and lyrically poor, compared to his early stuff.

I gave it a listen, trying to be open to everything, you know? I thought maybe he'd pull off something unique and artistic, but instead I found it to be terrible.

Insipid lyrics, more abuse of Autotune software, and the songwriting isn't even that great. He's a great producer, though, I'll give him that.

I'm remixing "Love Lockdown" for the lulz right now, but I keep wanting to give up on it because it's just such a shitty song.

Anyways, Heartless was decent but overall it sucked and the idea was stupid to begin with. If you can't sing do us all a favor and don't make an album where all you do is sing. I don't mind T-Pain cuz at least he has some singing ability, which is really when the autotune works best.
