View Full Version : Four Questions

There are a lot of big questions out there and every one of them has an even larger number of answers ;).

But I think these four questions are sometimes thought about more. I've taken them from another site. Lets share our answers in this thread, and see what the regulars of My God generally think about them.

1. What is the Ultimate Power or Basic Energy which moves the universe, creates life? What is the Cosmic Plan?

2. What is life, where did it start, where is it going?

3. What is man, whence did he come, and where is he going?

4. What am I? What is my place in this plan?

My answers:

1. The illogical, chaotic infinite. No plan.

2. Life is like an on-going chemical reaction. It started randomly, and is going towards the infinite.

3. Man is life with the ability to introspect upon itself and reality. Man came from Earth, and appears to be on a path of destruction.

4. I appear to be no more then another minuscule cog in the mechanical order reality appears to have. But there is no order, and I am the God, the illogical chaotic infinite through which all is possible.

My answers may change with time.

That's really more like 10 questions, but anyways.

1) I don't think there is an ultimate power. The plan is to find the question to the answer of life, the universe and everything.

2) I have no idea where life started and it just seems to be going for the sake of keeping itself going.

3) Man is a self aware animal I suppose, and like the rest of life we seem to just be going where we're going and figuring out what to do when we get there.

4) I'm just making it up as I go along.

1. What is the Ultimate Power or Basic Energy which moves the universe, creates life? What is the Cosmic Plan?

I don't know. I have absolutely not idea, and I'm not afraid to admit it. It takes more balls to say "I don't know" than it does to BS your way out of a situation by talking out of your ass and inventing a God to explain everything. The Greeks created gods to explain the unknown, such as lightning. Now that we have a greater understanding at such things, we dismiss their beliefs. In time, we will learn more, and in the distant future, we will be laughing our asses of at present-day religions.

2. What is life, where did it start, where is it going?

Again, I have no idea, and I could care less.

3. What is man, whence did he come, and where is he going?

Man is an animal. Man is an animal that became cognitively advanced and convinced himself that he was the most important animal, and that he should have a purpose. We're so smart we're stupid. Other animals simply exist, they don't need a reason to.

4. What am I? What is my place in this plan?

I'm an animal that lives because it is encoded into me to survive, fornicate, and fit in with others.

I don't know.

I think that is the most honest answer in this thread.

I have absolutely not idea, and I'm not afraid to admit it. It takes more balls to say "I don't know" than it does to BS your way out of a situation by talking out of your ass and inventing a God to explain everything.

I dunno, I think that could work either way. I could say it takes more balls to try and invent an explanation for everything then to admit that I don't know.

I don't really think it's a question of the amount of balls a person has, but of how they want to live and what they believe. Maybe having balls does have something to do with that, but again, I think that could work either way.

The Greeks created gods to explain the unknown, such as lightning.

Honestly, do you really know that? Do you have the balls to admit you do not?

Did it take balls to say it as if it were true? I doubt it, you probably genuinely believe the greeks created gods to explain things like lightning. Maybe your balls do have something to do with it, but I'm willing to bet your beliefs have a prevailing effect.

I believe ancient greeks did not have the ability to introspect upon things. I believe the "gods" referred to by the ancient greeks were really hallucinated voices which took the place of consciousness in primitive man, which commanded man to do things and which man obeyed.

I am sure I could pull together much more evidence to substantiate that belief then you could to support the belief that the greeks created gods to simply explain the unknown. That doesn't mean I'm right. That doesn't mean you don't have any balls, or you're living life wrong or something. You just believe something different, and live your life different.

I'm just making it up as I go along.

I think this is on the same level of honesty as "I don't know".

1. Me
2. Whatever I say.
3. A shallow copy of me.
4. See above.

Seriously, you're asking questions that can't be known! Stop it, you'll make me go into existential crisis.

Obbe, I'm going to borrow your disclaimer My answers may change with time and have a shot at it;)

"1. What is the Ultimate Power or Basic Energy which moves the universe, creates life? What is the Cosmic Plan?" That would be 'love' or 'life' or; if you like: "love of life".:D The plan is "Life more abundantly"!

"2. What is life, where did it start, where is it going?" It did not start! That's a mind bender only if seen thru the eyes of ego. There cannot be nothing so there is something!

"3. Man is life with the ability to introspect upon itself and reality. Man came from Earth, and appears to be on a path of destruction." Man is a sense organ of the infinite mystery and all we need do is 'remember who we are'(CWG)

"4. I appear to be no more then another minuscule cog in the mechanical order reality appears to have. But there is no order, and I am the God, the illogical chaotic infinite through which all is possible." I am a fractal of the infinite mystery, an indivisible part of existence. Do an Einstein, e= mc squared and I can even work out the precise amount of the infinite mystery I AM.

Joy and Peace to you Obbe:)
