E.g. An old Chinese torture was to tie someone down and drip water on their forehead non-stop after about 16 hours you would get whatever information you wanted from then on it was anyones bet how long it was until they went insane.

Two of the greatest most widely used torture techniques during the Vietnam Era are:


1) Rip the finger nails off a person and use a stick to beat there exposed fleshy part (most sensitive area on your body supposedly)

2) Death by a thousand cuts. Basically they take a small blade and just cut you as many times as they can avoiding critical locations. For one they wont be deep so it wont kill you fast unlike if you hit a vital organ by stabbing so you would die slow and the cuts would be so minor you would slowly bleed to death but not before cut after cut was inflicted. EDIT: If your not trying to get information and just want to fuck them up, run up behind them and use a baton/bat/blunt object and crack them in the knee as hard as you can. Just one broken knee is bad enough, 4-6 months in a wheelchair and another 6 months to a year of physio therapy. With 2 knees it will take double or triple that time to recover. A good torture technique would be to get them addicted to heroin or opium, because those are a bastard to give up I'm sure.

That is a myth. Bamboo takes the path of least resistance. it would grow around the person, rather than through them. Sorta the same principle as those spiral "lucky bamboo" things you see in fake Asian shops.

This is what I've always thought. Except my version has a twist.

Strap the dude down to a table, naked. Have this hot nurse come and start visually stimulating the guy so he gets hard (she can physically stimulate him a little if the visual won't do it (this always adds false promise to the situation)). On these days, be extra nasty. Wear horrifying masks, have horrible music, terrifying lighting, etc. Now cut, drill, rip and burn in the same places you did earlier. Inflict as much pain as possible. Now you're going to allow these wounds to heal again. Then you're going to rinse and repeat. Constantly feeding, drugging, torturing, and cleaning their wounds. Day in day out...until they just stop eating and drinking and allow them selves to die.

He got the idea from mythbusters I assume. They showed that it would grow through the victim in a week, if I remember right. Earlier in the episode, that species of bamboo was growing through solid granite rock. Also, bamboo will bend only if there is a shift in light. Plants have a mechanism such that they grow away from the pull of gravity until they reach the sun. That way they can ensure that they grow towards the sun rather than deeper into the ground. Effectively, the bamboo "thinks" it's still under ground when it grows into the body.

Sharpen the end of bamboo sticks and shove them underneath their finger nails, until you get your information.
