I'm going to be a thread necromancer here.

I haven't listened to all of the talks yet (because they're long), but I do get the sense that he's a very wise man in many respects. However, I'm not a fan of the Theravada school's cosmology. I especially dislike the dangling he does ie. "I can prove reincarnation to you, if you want the proof I can show you after..."

Well, fuck, if your proof is so good then show me now. Let me evaluate it now.

These criticisms are, however, entirely metaphysical and shouldn't take away from his message.

I may be a bit of a militant atheist, but I <3 Buddhism.

well about the reincarnation bit. i heard him talking about this guy called Dr Ian stevenson.A canadian psychologist who has done research on this stuff.I looked up some of his publications in the university library. That stuff is pretty compelling.Other than that according to his way is hardcore meditation which most of us do not have the time to do.
