Hello, I recently got a compaq sr5605f, it's graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce 6150 SE. On my previous computer I have an Geforce 6200 which one is better?
I just installed BF2 and it will run but it is really slow and I don't think I can bump the graphics up if it's this slow. Does anyone know if my CPU is even capable of running this game decently?

That 6200 has double the pixel pipes as your current 6150se. It should almost double your framerate, try it out. And your processor is fine, one of my friends is running bf2 on a p4 2.4 512k, and with a x1650 i think he runs it at 1680x1050 on medium settings with good fps.

You might want to chek cpuz, i think your AMD LE-1640 has 1MB L2, good for games.

For one thing, it's just called the computer/PC/rig/box/whatever. CPU and processor are synonyms. Your AMD Athlon is the CPU, nothing else.

Yes, the 6200 is better than the 6150. They probably use different busses. One is probably an AGP and the other is probably PCI-Express.

Finally, why the HELL are you running Vista on that thing???? No wonder the game runs slow as shit!

Anyway, get a new video card, and some more RAM. 2GB of RAM should run you 20-35 bucks, not that expensive. A decent video card should be maybe 60 bucks. Get an 8600 GT if you have PCI-Express, I don't see why you wouldn't...

You'll notice an overall performance boost and better experience in Vista if you get more RAM and a better video card.
