Say you're going to put together a tacticool shotgun. What platform would you start with, and what stuff would you put on it?

Saiga 12 is the truth, the way, and the light.

You buy one stock, put the correct number of american parts on it (including a real trigger group), put on a tromix folding stock, and an MD Arms 20 Rnd drum.

It doesn't get any cooler than that.

No, I challenge someone to come up with something cooler than a Saiga 12.

P.S. AA12s are not cooler, they aren't cool at all. by all accounts, they are Jam-O-Matics.

So...

If somebody has a legal NFA item that they'd like to post pics of, will the feds still come and rape them anyway just to be sure? Because they'd really like to avoid that inconvenience, yet they have something relevant for this thread...

If they post pics, they can also say it's not theirs. I Googled it, yeah...

And saigas are all the shit, $300, cali-legal, and easily converted into the black rifle of doom. The 12 is slightly more expensive, IIRC.

Remington 870's have more accesories to them than Barbie.
If you want a tacticool shotgun, the following are in order:

Folding stock
Pistol Grip
Foregrip
Rails. Lots of rails
Red dot sight
Laser sight
Hi-viz sight on the muzzle
Flashlight
Mag extender that extends past the muzzle
Tactical sling
Frame mounted cartridge holder
Sling mounted cartridge holder
Urban camo or black duracoat finish
No wood. Everything must be 'synthetic'
Short barrel. If you can pay the tax and get one with a barrel below the legal limit, it's even better
Frame mounted PDA with ballistic computation programs and inbuilt GPS navigational system
Six Beverage cup holders. Mounted on the stock.
Night Vision. Mounted somewhere.
Did I miss anything?

Wait..Six?

There should be at least one back-up thermos . With a shell carrier bolted on it. Complete with Slip-Free Hogue Thermos Grip.

It's better to want it and not need it than it is to have it and want rid of it.

Sometimes it just needs to be as ugly as possible.

Guy near me is trying to sell it. If I had the cash I'd snap it up in a second.

$1200. That doesn't include the $200 stamp for a destructive device.

I guess if you wanted to be serious about going too far, you could also add a breaching tool, uzi foregrip, and a knoxx sidewinder mag. :p

So a Street Sweeper with a MAC foregrip was the best you could come up with?

It's not a Sidewinder. It's a Street Sweeper (http://world.guns.ru/shotgun/sh09-e.htm).

grenade launcher with attached machine pistol...with a silencer...

also, just for good measure, laser sight, flashlight, bayonet, and 5+ rails on each. and everything must have an urban camo finish.
